What’s the role?
As Downstream is facing a dynamic and ever-changing competitive environment, it is important to assess ourselves against traditional and non-traditional competitors and to provide clear business insights to our Senior Leaders and Strategy professionals.
As the Competitive Intelligence Advisor for Energy Markets , you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of analysis and insights regarding the Downstream industry competitive landscape and to communicate those insights to senior stakeholders. You will work closely with the Energy Markets Pricing team and the Demand Scenarios team to provide Continuous Improvement content for the businesses.
More specifically, your key accountabilities will include:
Analyze both traditional and non-traditional competitors.
Provide insights on the evolution of the competitive landscape, including analysis of competitors financial performance.
Identify and analyze external data and competitive trends.
Be accountable for Continuous Improvement (CI) projects as a Project Lead and deliver through diverse and global teams.
What we need from you
Alongside your bachelor’s or master’s degree in either Engineering or Finance, you have:
Strong relevant experience in Competitive Intelligence or Data Analysis preferably gained from Energy or Banking industry.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated strategic mindset and collaborative behaviors.
High capacity to deal with complex, multi-dimensional problems and ambiguous issues.
Proven track record of delivering high quality results under time-pressure.
Experience of working across cultures and organizational boundaries.
Self-starting and proactive with a desire to challenge status quo and retain independence of thought.
