The Director – Business Development and Partnerships
is responsible for managing and developing the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Health Business Development and Partnerships (BDP) team resources to deliver on the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Health strategic initiatives. The BDP team’s scope of work includes activities involving acquisitions and strategic partnerships, including, but not limited to:
proactive identification of opportunities that are
aligned to and can help advance **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Health priorities
, target identification and initial analysis and vetting, external relationship development and management,
robust and defensible rationale/logic for partnership or acquisition pursuits,
financial analysis and valuation, due diligence, executive material development, deal structuring, and planning for implementation and integration.
The BDP team is
responsible for assessing the landscape and competitive threats against internal strategies / capabilities to identify potential inorganic growth opportunities for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Health. The resulting market scan and M&A pipeline will be continuously reassessed to ensure alignment with corporate and business strategic objectives.
The Director – Business Development and Partnerships
will work in partnership with the Director – Health Strategy and internal business partners to understand the goals for specific strategic initiatives and will deploy the BDP team resources as appropriate to deliver on the initiatives’ business development and partnership needs.

What will you do?
Actively oversee and participate in activities involving business development, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships
Lead strategic thinking on how we accelerate our growth through acquisitions and strategic partnerships, and source potential partners using relevant prioritization criteria (e.g., business/initiative needs, strategic relevance, executability)
Develop business development (inclusive of M&A) and strategic partnerships strategy for Health and manage the Health M&A and partnership pipeline
Partner with business leads, **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Health Strategy team, Chief Medical Officer, Enterprise Corporate Development and Strategy, and cross functional partners (including legal, finance, etc), to continuously re-evaluate and refine the M&A strategy for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Health
Continuously assess and update M&A and partnership pipeline as need be to ensure alignment with **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Health strategic objectives
Assess landscape and competitive threats against internal strategies / capabilities to identify potential inorganic growth opportunities
Manage and develop a world-class team responsible for business development and partnerships
Develop business development and partnership processes that can be leveraged for inorganic growth opportunities
Developing, implementing, and maintaining repeatable market assessment tools and processes that can be leveraged for inorganic growth opportunities.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance or related field
8 years investment banking (M&A), corporate development, (non-sales) business development, venture capital management consulting, or similarly relevant industry experience
5 years of experience managing teams
3 years of experience delivering recommendations to clients and/or executives
Deep healthcare expertise (e.g., healthcare industry, investment banking, venture capital, management consulting)
Exceptional financial acumen and ability to perform complex financial analysis
Proven track record in healthcare business development, including closed acquisitions, investments, or capital raises for early-stage companies (note: non-sales business development)
Excellent analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills
Ability to work effectively with and communicate complex ideas to people at all levels in an organization
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or similar relevant degree preferred
Experience at a top-tier investment bank or management consulting firm
