Aon is looking for a: Technical Finance Analyst Rating Agency Advisory / Technical Finance JOB SUMMARYAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Rating Agency Advisory business group within Aon Reinsurance Solutions, in our Toronto, ON office. As a Technical Finance Analyst, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President, you will be responsible for the delivery of rating agency and regulatory advisory services to Canadian and English-speaking Caribbean clients. You will conduct research on emerging topics and trends intended to improve new and existing client relationships. You will be part of our dynamic, team, which brings experience as strategic advisors and across a dynamic range of services and abilities. RESPONSBILITIESFinancial Modelling and Analysis:Perform peer benchmarking and ratio analysisAnalysis of various capital adequacy models (regulatory/rating agency)Conduct impact analysis of various reinsurance structures Prepare company valuations for various M&A scenariosRespond to ad-hoc client requests as requiredResearch on Industry Topics:Research and analyze upcoming regulatory updates (Canadian, provincial, Caribbean, etc.)Research and advise on regulatory impact of upcoming accounting and financial reporting changesRating Agency Advisory and Market Securities:Prepare solvency analysis for insurers and reinsurersProvide analytical support/assessment of various reinsurance alternativesMonitor the financial strength ratings of (re)insurers (i.e. ratings and financial performance)Respond to ad-hoc client requests as requiredAccounting Advisory Services:Familiarity and understanding of IFRS 17 and how it relates to reinsuranceAdvise on accounting treatment of various reinsurance transactionsREQUIRED EXPERIENCEMinimum of 3-5 years of property and casualty (P&C) insurance experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong math and analytical skills and attention to detail Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and database software tools are essentialUnderstanding of IFRS 17 and how it relates to reinsurance contractsUndergraduate degree in business, accounting, or relevant subject areaSuccessfully obtained or near completion of relevant professional designation (i.e. CPA, CMA, CFA, etc.)We offer youA competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
