Job Responsibilities
Seeking a Real Estate Finance Professional with minimum 5 years of finance experience with Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac transactions for apartment lending, to provide production, analytical and underwriting support for real estate finance group. Compensation will be reflective of experience.
Must demonstrate knowledge and experience in quoting, underwriting, and closing Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac apartment loan transactions, with appropriate methodology for analyzing
pro forma income and expenses.
Requires strong computer, writing and communication skills with emphasis on Excel modeling, and full knowledge of Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac Program Plus programs and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide financial evaluation, modeling, structuring and analysis for income producing apartment properties, with potential to expand work into other properties
such as office, retail, hotel.
Interact with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and to a lesser degree Bank, Life Company and CMBS lenders professionals on a daily basis.
Interact daily with private capital and institutional clients providing market commentary and loan quote estimates based on preliminary estimates of NOI and pricing
Demonstrate knowledge of guidelines and underwriting standards for all lender types including, but not limited to Agency, Bank, Life Company and CMBS executions
Complete a detailed transaction narrative and financial model for direct submission to Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae
Completed a “Request for Financing” package for all lenders including Banks, Life Companies, CMBS, Debt Funds, Mortgage REITs as well as preferred equity and mezzanine debt providers.
Oversee the borrower checklist, third party reports and due diligence review for both in house underwriting (agency) as well as other lenders
Assist team in day-to-day responsibilities, which include the preparation of offering materials and transactional support and negotiation.
Gather property specific & market information by researching a variety of sources including, but not limited to, industry, regulatory and economic information, financial periodicals and newspapers, mortgage and lease documents, demographic data, property information and company records.
Organize, evaluate, interpret and summarize data for distribution to both clients and lenders.
Prepare a variety of analyses, statements and reports for management and client review;
Interface with clients, equity investors, lenders, government agencies, etc., to complete tasks, execute financings and document negotiations.
Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree with
minimum
five years related professional
experience.
MBA or MS degree a
plus.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret
financial reports and legal documents.
Ability to effectively present information to public groups and /or top
management, and executives.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Competent knowledge,
understanding and utility of several software programs including, but not
limited to Excel, Word,
etc. Argus and
InDesign competency is a plus.
