Alternative Ingredients TraderPurpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for an Alternative Ingredients Trader to join our Pilgrimu2019s team at our Corporate office in Greeley, CO. This role is responsible for originating and trading bulk ingredients to Pilgrimu2019s feed mills in the U.S. including DDGs, rendered protein meal, and corn and wheat co-products. The Ingredients Trader will also coordinate with the internal nutrition team to forward purchase ingredients for poultry feed formulations. This position will report to the Head of Alternative and Specialty Ingredients Trading as part of the ingredient product line.Responsibilities:Originate and trade DDGS, Bakery, and Hi Protein DDGS positions for U.S. marketTrade rendered protein feed from internal and external rendering operationsCoordinate with internal nutrition team on ingredient formulationsWork with outside corn processing and wheat mills to trade main bulk fiber ingredientsEnsure logistical execution and delivery of all ingredients by managing rail, truck, and barge transportation routesAssist in the creation and maintenance of market intelligence for the U.S. ethanol and rendering marketsOther duties as assignedu00A0Qualifications: Bacheloru2019s degree in Business, Finance, Agribusiness, or Agricultural Economics with a record of strong academic achievement requiredKnowledge of U.S. agriculture industry required5 years of merchandising experience preferredExceptional verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsSelf-driven and willing to problem solveAs a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
