You will be a Manager in a team responsible for the overall financial forecasting, reporting, and performance for total US Advertising and Commercial (A&C) spend across all categories. You will support the Director in data collection, prepare presentations, ensure monthly forecasting execution, analyze actuals vs forecast and support delivery of overall objectives, while ensuring the integrity and timeliness of deliverables. You may also have a direct report or manage third party providers resources.
How you will contribute
You will:
Manage US Mondelez’s Advertising spend via executing an accurate monthly forecast by brand and drive financial decision making, in regard to the Annual Contract targets & financial performance reporting/analysis. You will own data collection and verify data integrity.
Ensure a strong controls and compliance environment in your area of scope and ensure full compliance with our policies.
Help the Director and the business prepare critical financial data and insight that enable perspectives for business strategies and decisions.
Lead projects to improve efficiencies and improvements to ways of working and embrace a mindset of continuous improvement.
Contribute to a high-performing Finance team. You will also invest in personal development and the development of Finance peers and drive our Finance talent agenda within the organization, with a focus on category finance pipeline.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in financial planning and performance management including data collection and structuring, analyzing, planning and reporting company financial performance across all financial KPIs and investment decisions and cost management to achieve financial targets

The Finance Manager, Advertising and Commercial Spend
provides financial insights and facilitates key decisions related to revenue, profitability and return on advertising investments. The successful individual must be able to analyze and interpret data to draw out insights and drive better business decisions. The Manager will lead and drive A&C US processes across Biscuit and Confection brands (with a focus on budget control & drive return on investment for A&C spend for Analytics and Insight).
This position offers a unique leadership opportunity to fully manage a key strategic business in the Biscuits and Confectionery Business Unit. The position interfaces daily with all members of the category team. On a regular basis, the Manager interfaces with other members of Finance, Media, Marketing COE and Sales Operations to deliver financial commitments and identify contingency plans. Continually interacts with up to 20 stakeholders on regular basis. Interaction with senior leadership reflects 30% of time.
Responsibilities include:
Owns governance, reporting, and compliance for A&C
Develop brand/category A&C financial plans in collaboration with Growth and Commercial teams and monitor the delivery of Plan objectives
Prepare analysis for ad-hoc requests; pull and analyze data
Create or update weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and presentation reports for business review meetings, ensuring data accuracy.
Coach the brand teams on how to understand and interpret A&C financial information
Analyze and drive spend efficiencies in collaboration with Growth team to drive the higher A&C ROI.
Qualifications:
BS in Finance Accounting or Business Administration required, MBA preferred
Minimum of 6 or more years of experience in Finance / Accounting
Experience in financial analysis and problem solving skills a must
Possess critical thinking skills, quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
Ability to show initiative and make impactful decisions with little to no supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Critical Thinking: leverage analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful financial strategies and solutions
Excellent inter-personal skills, strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to influence cross functional team members
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with SAP and Hyperion an advantage
