Job Summary

You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off-campus with a local Versailles employer and is not affiliated with UK.
A bank is seeking a part-time Teller at two locations, Nicholasville or Versailles location. You can apply to both locations or the one that best fits your needs. This position serves customers by completing account transactions as required. Although this position is located in Nicholasville or Versailles, KY it is only about a 15-20 minute drive from campus.

Duties/Responsibilities: Cash checks and pay out money after verifying that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that accounts have sufficient funds.
Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, dates and endorsements, and check accuracy of deposit slips and statements; ensure that appropriate holds are put on checks in accordance with Reg. CC and company policy.
Enter customers' transactions into computers to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts and calculate daily transactions, using computers, calculators, or adding machines; balance coin machine and ATM.
Cash/deposit savings bonds.
Prepare change orders.
Examine checks for endorsements and to verify other information, such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments, and the legality of the documents.
Process branch capture.
Collect bait money serial numbers and report them no less than semi-annually to branch manager.
Keep work station, teller area and vault area clean.
Process night deposits and mail deposits.
Prepare, create and verify cashier's checks.
Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance.
Arrange monies received in cash boxes and coin dispensers according to denomination.
Receive mortgage and loan payments, verifying payment dates, amounts due and payment type.
Explain, promote, or sell products or services.
Maintain a working knowledge of all retail operations processes, policies and procedures. Stay up to date on all governmental regulatory guidance and changes to ensure proper compliance.
Perform clerical tasks, such as typing, filing, and scanning.
Adhere to corporate policies.
All other duties as assigned.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills with superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail including excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
High computer proficiency.
High School Diploma or equivalent reading, writing, and math skills.
