The Sr. Director of Investor Relations (“IR”) will oversee the strategic planning, development and coordination of all IR programs, ensuring a consistent corporate image is presented to analysts, institutional investors, shareholders, customers and employees. The Sr. Director will manage market, investor, and media expectations from short-term and long-term perspectives and in accordance with regulatory requirements, as well as advise the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors on issues, investor reactions and expectations, competitive analysis and valuations. The role will be responsible for forming, maintaining and expanding relationships with shareholders, sell-side equity and credit research analysts, industry analysts, news media and other capital markets participants. The Sr. Director will support senior management interaction with the SEC, debt rating agencies, auditors, and other compliance requirements, enforce corporate disclosure policy for personal interaction and external financial communications and implement processes to comply with selective disclosure requirements.Job ResponsibilitiesCraft and deliver appropriate responses to investor inquiries in accordance with the company’s corporate message.Demonstrate deep understanding of industry fundamentals and communicate drivers that impact short-term and long-term results.Coordinate key institutional investors’ access to senior management; prepare management for specific investors to maximize meeting productivity.Advise senior management on continuous investor consensus.Draft earnings call scripts and prepare participants for likely investor questions and responses.Collaborate with senior management in writing quarterly earnings releases, periodic news and quarterly MD&A in SEC filings.Actively manage quality and quantity of the Investor Relations web page, including high utility for analysts.Oversee shareholder services during transition of equity base during corporate acquisitions.Maintain ongoing database of sector public valuation, public and private company M&A, and competitive market share analysis.Establish KPIs, track company performance vs. industry peers and report findings to executive leadership on recurring basis.Job Requirements8 – 10 years of relevant work experience with institutional investors, corporate financial forecasting and valuation as part of a publicly traded company.Demonstrated network of institutional investors, sell-side equity and debt analysts.Ability to quickly analyze and present strategic, corporate and industry developments.Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting and key aspects of legal and regulatory environments.Outstanding communication and presentation skills with both public and internal groups.Demonstrated ability to manage, serve, influence and persuade multiple constituencies.Experience delivering complex data / information in written, web and other mediums to multiple location and multi-cultured workforces.Team player with strong individual work ethic and ability to perform under significant pressure.Quick, strategic thinker in rapidly changing environments.Ability to engage in interesting dialog with investors, anticipate key issues and frame discussion with relevant corporate messages.Ability to synthesize numerous pieces of information and succinctly communicate key takeaways to senior management and Board.Ability to manage complex cycle of inbound investor requests, outbound shareholder marketing, quarterly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, compliance, competitive analysis, presentations, and compliance.Telecommunications sector experience preferred.Bachelor’s degree required; MBA in Finance highly preferred.
