Description:
Working within the Planning & Analytics Office (PAO), you will lead the Business Intelligence team and provide expert knowledge of BI and analytics that supports the strategic direction of the directorate and University. You will lead on the provision of BI, analytics and reporting to inform the University Planning Cycle and deliver business critical intelligence. You will have proven experience in leading teams and empowering staff to produce showcase dashboards and reports. We are embracing new software to create future proof BI provision, this is an exciting time for the right candidate to bring their expertise to the role and engage on the journey to enhanced provision of BI and analytics reporting within the University. Ideally you will possess a degree in a quantitative discipline, you will have significant experience of working in a Business Intelligence role and leading teams. You will have the ability to effectively convey complicated information in a variety of clear, concise and meaningful formats. You should have expert working knowledge of BI toolsets and skills with other visualisation software and databases. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to influence and persuade senior stakeholders. Experience of working in higher education will be advantageous but not essential as key skills will be transferable.
