SUMMARY:
As part of Finance & Accounting, this position is responsible for all Finance, Accounting, and Analysis activities associated with the McDonalds Poultry business unit. The McDonald’s Poultry business unit includes five fully integrated processing complexes. This position works directly with the President of Global McDonalds, Segment CFO, McDonald’s business unit leadership team, and will be responsible for managing direct customer interactions. Position will be an integral member of the McDonald’s business unit and will work closely with the Business and Operations Teams daily.
Key responsibilities of this role include, but not limited to: ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls for all financial processes within the business unit, such as Plant Operations and related financial statements; assisting with month-end and quarter-close activities as well as other ad-hoc projects; proactive participation in strategic decisions impacting the business unit; capital and financial planning and forecasting, including identifying risks and opportunities to the business; providing financial analysis on all pricing initiatives and decisions, as well as value-added financial analysis surrounding portfolio optimization, competitive analysis, and cost optimization activities.
Additionally, this role will be responsible for driving projects that result in standardizing, simplifying, and modernizing current processes. This will also include the successful execution of sustainable, value-added reporting capabilities across the business unit and the segment. Other essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to, building and maintaining effective working relationships with various levels in the organization and being a champion of Tyson’s mission, core values, and team behaviors (the 5 Cs) are critical.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this job (Accounting or Finance degree preferred).
Experience: 15 years related experience preferred
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of SAP and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Preferred. Additionally, basic knowledge of PowerBI is also preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
Supervisory: Position is responsible for the supervision and development of direct and indirect reports which includes Team Members located at Corporate as well as at each of the processing facilities.
Special Skills: Certified Public Accountant, preferred, but not required. Strong analytical skills and people skills; must be comfortable working with members of the Executive Leadership Team.
Travel: Possibly 8-10 domestic trips per year
