ROLE TITLE: STRATEGIC ADVISORY MANAGER, LIQUIDITY
LOCATION: 10 Molesworth Street, Dublin - Hybrid Working
This role is being offered on a PERMANENT basis.
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Within Treasury, the Funding & Liquidity function, classified as a mission critical activity in AIB, manages the Bank's short term liquidity and long term secured/un-secured debt and capital issuance activities of the Group and its subsidiaries. This ensures the Funding & Liquidity obligations of AIB and its customers are met for both ROI and UK by providing sufficient funds across all currency accounts to meet customer and regulatory obligations. The Liquidity Advisory function sits within the F&L team and is a key planning and control function of the Bank.
Within the Funding & Liquidity function a vacancy now exists as a Senior Strategic Advisory Manager, Liquidity. The Liquidity Advisory team plan a central role in the formation of the banks 3 Year Funding & Liquidity Plan, and the preparation and delivery of the annual ILAAP, a mandatory Board submission to JST. This is a key planning control and support function for AIB delivering annual planning, liquidity documents, liquidity analysis, advice and information for Alco, AIB's Leadership team, Board and indeed external stakeholders including the JST and the SRB. This role reports directly to the Head of Term Funding, Liquidity Advisory & TCMU. The role involves applying clear standards of professionalism in all activities with excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills expected.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
*Manages the Regulatory relationship and all interaction - primary contact for all Liquidity Regulatory matters. Engages proactively with all regulators (CBI, ECB. SRB). *Ensures that external environment, regulatory developments, market and peer analysis and insights are brought into AIBs thinking and into the potential deliverables of Capital & Liquidity. *Key strategic advisor relating to funding and liquidity risk in the Bank's current and future balance sheet. Ensure the Bank is fully aware of future regulatory liquidity requirements and any other reporting requirements relating to funding and liquidity and ensure Liquidity / ILAAP considerations are appropriately embedded in the business planning and assessment of new initiatives. *Manage and deliver the annual ILAAP process that assesses AIB's liquidity risks and the adequacy of the Bank's resources to meet possible stressed events including the preparation of key ALCo and Board documents such as Funding & Liquidity Plan, Contingency Funding Plan, Liquidity Statement, Stressed Liquidity Scenarios, etc; *Key strategic advisor role relating to Liquidity, maintain and grow relationships with key customers and stakeholders across Treasury, Risk, Finance and Business Segments. *Engagement with the Financial Risk team for relevant policy development relating to Funding and Liquidity. *Primary responsibility for development of AIBs Liquidity Contingency Plan. *Primary responsibility for ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations in relation to Liquidity in Resolution. *Coaches and develops AIB's Senior Management capability in relation to Liquidity performance management concepts and topical issues. *Drive team performance through the creation of a high performance culture measured by progress on Employee Engagement, Talent & Performance Management, Internal Communications and role modelling Leadership Behaviours.

YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US THAT YOU CAN/HAVE:
*A proven understanding and experience of management interpretation of key banking regulations, directives, standards and guidelines. *Experience (5+ years) in banking with experience in financial, liquidity, risk analysis / reporting desirable , e.g. Treasury, Finance, Risk, GIA, Data Management with strong in-depth knowledge across the Treasury products that are utilised in the management of Liquidity. *Skills and relevant experience with specific knowledge and understanding of Bank Liquidity Risk Framework and Policies particularly pertaining to Liquidity risks and metrics. *Proven experience building and leading a team of experts, interacting and delivering on Regulatory requirements and major programmes. *Proven constructive working relationships and excellent oral and written communication skills across internal stakeholders and impacted business areas. *A dynamic, confident self-starter with experience of collaborating with colleagues across all areas of an organisation, notably Treasury, Risk, Finance and the business
