Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) has been in operation in Ireland since 1964, employing over 600 people across a range of activities and business units.

The Global External Manufacturing (ExM) organization headquartered in Dublin, is responsible for the management of manufacturing and reliable supply across the Bristol Myers Squibb global network. This includes management of, and working in conjunction with, third party contract manufacturers and internal manufacturing sites.

In Ireland, External Manufacturing has two sites, global HQ in Dublin 15 and a distribution centre in Shannon, Co Clare.

Many of the global business services, including Commercial, the European Treasury Centre, Global Bio Lab and Global Logistics are based on the island of Ireland.Ireland is also home to Cruiserath Biologics Campus, a one billion Multi-Product Cell Culture Biologics Manufacturing facility. This state of the art facility produces multiple therapies for the company's growing biologics portfolio and plays a central role in Bristol Myers Squibb global manufacturing network.

ExM's strategy and robust operating model is focused on evolving and continuously improving ways of working to take External Manufacturing to the next level, leveraging data and technology in an effort to deliver product to customers and patients at optimum speed, time and cost.

The Role

BMS External Manufacturing is looking to recruit a permanent Finance Manager based in Dublin. The Finance Manager will report to the Associate Director Finance for External Manufacturing, this role will involve considerable interaction with cross functional colleagues both in Ireland, Switzerland and the US.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


Prepare and Analyze ExM Budget and Projections for ExM Bio
Leading Month end close process
Month End reporting and commentary
Virtual Plant Team finance representative ExM Bio
Liaise with PMO Lead monthly to review projects, highlight Risks and Opportunities
Business risk management lead
Inventory Obsolescence review


Qualifications,Knowledge and Skills Required :


Must be able to communicate effectively and to influence with authority.
Develops strong, effective work relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Builds and maintains a network of key individuals necessary for obtaining and disseminating information critical to the operation of the External Manufacturing Business Unit.
Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills in the execution of job responsibilities.
Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Assesses risk and provides alternative solutions and contingency plans to ensure that financial commitments are met.
Maintains strict internal controls on the operations as per BMS policies and legal requirements.
Strong administration, organizational & IT skills
An experienced qualified accountant 5-7year PQE, ideally with demonstrable people management skills
Demonstrated ability to work with and manage cross functional teams in a complex, changing environment to deliver value-added results from an overall corporate perspective
Knowledge of US GAAP as well as local accounting principles
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and persuade others to accomplish challenging goals and objectives.
SAP transactional knowledge desirable
Travel is required to US and Switzerland ( approx.. 6 per year)
