We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to fill an MBA Internship role in our corporate development group. This group primarily focuses on corporate strategy, business development and M&A activities. The individual will have the chance to help influence the direction and help develop business strategies for one of Los Angeles’s leading public digital media companies. The intern will work to deliver insights, analysis and recommendations to senior leadership of Demand Media.
Success in this role requires an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize among multiple tasks and have strong communication skills as you will be working across business and product teams internally as well as management of relationships outside the company. We require a team player that takes pride in their work, executes on projects and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
This person will be work directly with our President and our SVP, Platform Revenue to analyze investment opportunities, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Engineering preferred
2 years of investment banking, corporate consulting corporate finance or strategic planning/business development
Strong excel modeling skills as well as PowerPoint and presentations skills.
Knowledge or direct experience of web analytics platforms such as Google analytics, Omniture, Comscore, and others.
Ability to work collaboratively on a stand-alone basis required
Good interpersonal, sales skills and ability to work within a team environment at the executive level.
Direct knowledge or experience of digital media.
