About the Role
As the Financial Reporting Manager
, you will be directly responsible for the internal and external financial reporting that support operational decision-making and ensure compliance with regulations. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to build reporting process from the ground up and to solve complex accounting issues. This high impact role requires a passionate leader with a team player attitude.
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies. Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to training and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, delegating, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving employee issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the financial reporting process.
Prepare financial statements, including Statement of Cash Flows.
Lead preparation of the supporting schedules for financial statements and footnote disclosures.
Maintain complete tie-out documentation.
Support the accounting team on technical accounting issues, including technical research and drafting technical memos.
Analyze complex transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment, including presenting disclosure recommendations.
Liaise with the external auditors on quarterly review and annual audit requirements.
Implement new significant accounting pronouncements.
Knowledge of internal control requirements and compliance.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
CPA required.
Prior experience in technology, professional services, Software as a Service, Platform or other high growth companies preferred.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Strong technical skills in U.S. GAAP, including ability to research accounting literature, establish a position, draft supporting memorandum, and obtain auditor acceptance.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and PowerPoint.
NetSuite experience is desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to adapt to multiple demands and shifting/competing priorities and deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment.
History of teamwork and willingness to dive-in to get the job done.
Intellectually curious, creative, and collaborative.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Compensation:
$125-150k
