Associate Partner – Investment Consulting Are you an investment advisory leader who enjoys strategic problem-solving, and who shines in a client champion role? Who you are Working withReporting directly to the National Practice Leader, we will help you grow professionally as a subject matter expert. You will collaborate with regional leaders, while bring supported by associates and analysts in the team. We expect you to provide guidance and leadership to junior colleagues as well. We also consider you an Aon Ambassador to our clients, and hope that you can build, nature, and develop client relationships through effective value proposition and service delivery. What your day will look like Leads all aspects of investment consulting projects. Crafting, coordinating, preparing, and delivering analytical consulting assessments. Identifies and develops opportunities on client accounts, growing the scope of existing projects and relationships and driving sales for the Practice Leads increasingly challenging client relationships by providing proactive and innovative support to clients. Applies good judgment and appropriate follow-through with firm employees, investment managers, trustees, and clients. Demonstrates initiative & ownership of client & research-related work; Efficiently apply internal resources for effective handling of multiple client projects; Mentor the team on specific client types (foundations and endowments) or unique investment issues [e.g., ESG, transition management, custom target-date funds, endowment spending model]; Demonstrates clear understanding and ability to articulate value proposition of all Canadian Investment Consulting services;Leads ad hoc projects for the Canada Investment Consulting Senior Management Team / local leadership. Expertise that Leads to Your SuccessA minimum of 12 years of direct experience in financial / investment consulting environment, Experience working with institutional clients, especially handling a large block of clients and large client teams;Proven problem solving, analytical decision making, and problem-solving skills in developing solutions for complex clients/business issues; Able to understand the short term/long term needs of clients; capable of identifying business development opportunities to effectively close consulting assignments;Embraces creative spirit in work through recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to help with growth and expansion of the organization; Ability to establish self as a trusted leader/advisor. Demonstrates strong client-facing skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and information and to respond promptly and effectively to all inquiries; Detail and results-orientated; able to work independently on diverse projects, able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced; high-pressure environment and meet project timelines;A phenomenal teammate who can work with a variety of individuals; Strong technical expertise and the proven track record to remain current with respect to investment industry trends, activity in the market, provincial and federal legislative policies and changes; Planning and organizational skills through experiences; ability to effectively coordinator the delivery of projects and advisory services; Must be persuasive, forward-thinking, progressive, energetic, and focused; Strong analytical skills; accuracy and attention to detail;Requires substantial travel to service clientsEducation:Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Finance or Commerce or related field, or equivalent years of experience; and Dedication to professional development. Completion of MBA or CFA is preferred.
