SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the management and reporting related to the cost variances for Poultry and Prepared Foods Operations. Other duties include: working closely with Operations management to ensure the cost system calculations and variance reporting are accurate; working closely with Continuous Improvement Engineering to establish and maintain costing and processing standards; perform required web based reporting; provide technical costing support to the business units including direct support of plant accounting team members for a specific group of plants; support of variance analysis and cost as well as many ad hoc requests. Other duties as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Requires broad knowledge in general professional or technical field. Knowledge normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or an academic field directly related and essential to the job being evaluated.

Experience: 6 years of experience preferably working in operations accounting roles.

Computer Skills: Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint; proficient in Tyson applications such as SAP, Meatline, BOM Portal, GSM, Remedy, PPS, and various other applications.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with all levels of management.

Special Skills: Work well in a collaborative team environment.

Supervisory: None.

Travel: 2 domestic trips per year.
