Key Responsibilities:
Engage with borrowers to understand their needs and answer questions.
Proactively manage a pipeline in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner, ensuring promptness in communicating with borrowers.
Request and manage the organization of borrower loan documentation using our proprietary loan platform.
Facilitate and manage borrower transitions from each step in the processing of their loan.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in Operations (title, valuations, underwriting, closing) to close loans.
Review residential loan application file to verify application data meets establishment standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and employment.
Works closely with the Mortgage Loan Officer to coordinate and request documentation from client to ensure a smooth closing process.
Reconciles credit information provided by borrower with credit reports.
Calls borrower to discuss or confirm accuracy of credit report information.
Calls or writes employer to verify accuracy of information provided by borrower.
Review and correct application data relating to credit, debts, income and assets based on verified documentation.
Submits mortgage loan application file for underwriting approval.
Requests and gathers conditions requiring review prior to closing and submits for underwriting approval.
Assists borrowers in clearing title exception issues.
Professional Experience, Education, and Qualifications:
Experience processing FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and Jumbo mortgages.
Knowledge of agency conventional underwriting product guidelines.
Proficient in FHA Connections, Lending QB, MS Word, MS Excel.
Strong attitude for customer service.
Demonstrates accuracy, looks for ways to improve and promote quality and is self-driven.
