This is a special opportunity within the Sectors Finance team for the East region that will provide critical support to four successful, established, growing and global businesses: Aviation, Construction & Road, Agriculture & Forestry, and Marine; as well as the newly established business Emerging Sectors.
What’s the role?
This finance role is the face of Finance for opportunities or challenges across any or all the five Sectors businesses on activities, projects or opportunities that are prioritized by value and risk. As a Finance business partner, you are responsible for the delivery of Finance capability required to support a set of clearly defined business outcomes across multiple activities/assets.
This Finance role will have the following key accountabilities:
Provide front line finance support, acting as trusted advisor as part of cross functional deal and project teams or as first port of call-in delivery of the day-to-day finance support of the business.
You will act as finance lead on Business Development and Growth opportunities, from opportunity framing to execution and eventual operations. These could include new market entries, controlled market exits, complex supply/sales/logistics contracts, digitalisation projects, decarbonisation solutions deal, joint ventures or restructurings, new (disruptive) business models etc.
Financial structuring advice, as well as challenge/support the business in high quality and clearly articulated risk assessment and issue identification.
Independently ensure that a proper functioning control framework is in place and that risks are properly understood, reflected, and managed.
In addition, there will be selective activity in support of the wider finance in the business and Center of Excellence agenda, working with the Global and Regional Finance Managers.

We are keen to hear from candidates with the following qualifications touched by their professional experience:
Expertise across the spectrum of Finance competences.
Ability to gain the confidence of various internal and external parties building on strong knowledge and understanding of the business drivers, value, and risk.
Maturity and authority to decide when to involve Center of Excellence and effectively play the independent Finance role.
Project management skills and flexibility given the support across multiple activities/assets.
An existing working understanding of any of the Sectors businesses is an advantage
