Revenue Cycle Analysis Consultants serve as industry experts while they implement best practices in Optum360 client/partner locations. This is an analytical and process driven role with the primary focus of improving Revenue Cycle processes and operational outcomes by combining healthcare experience and background with the understanding of Optum360 solutions to bring world class results in Revenue Cycle Projects and end-to-end partnerships.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide revenue cycle management services in all areas of revenue cycle operations which includes:
Patient access (scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, financial counseling)
Registration/Admission (ED, inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory)
Health Information Management (transcription, coding, clinical documentation improvement)
Patient financial services (charge capture, pre-billing, billing, follow-up, cash posting, account resolution)
Decision support and analytics
Productivity and quality management
Understand key revenue cycle metrics and performance indicators and provide reporting of operational and financial performance
Evaluate and interpret data to monitor performance, identify trends and determine root cause issues
Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) findings of analyses and audits to support operation and financial decisions
Understand and represent Optum360 Business Intelligence and services and how they will improve partner operations
Collaborate with partner revenue cycle teams to facilitate resolution of process issues and implement world-class solutions
Serve as a resource for special projects and priority analysis assignments
Effective at working at both a data detail level and a strategic thinking level
Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Project responsibilities may include:
Analyzing large data sets and identifying and interpreting patterns and trends in the data
Evaluating business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations to clients
Managing multiple client-related priorities concurrently and addressing issues accordingly
Communicating project status regularly with manager
Writing client reports including summarization of project objectives, approach and results

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business/ Finance/ Healthcare or 4 years relevant work experience
6 years most recent work experience in Revenue Cycle Management including patient access or financial analysis or patient finance, or RCM consulting in a senior level position
Proficient in SQL and Excel with strong analytical and organizational skills
Expert in MS Office Suite productivity tools (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in business intelligence visualization tools e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
A high degree of self-motivation, versatility and flexibility
Intuitive and skilled at problem solving
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Effective presentation skills and ability to facilitate meetings with senior leadership both internally and externally
Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment

The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
