Description
Humana's Medicaid Subcontractor Management team is looking for an experienced Subcontractor Relationship Manager to join working remotely anywhere in the US. The Subcontractor Relationship Manager provides support to the Medicaid business acting as liaison between the business and assigned Subcontractors.
Responsibilities
Key Role Functions
Collaboratively engage with Medicaid market operations in the oversight of assigned subcontractors
Demonstrate subcontractor monitoring and oversight practices consistent with expectations set forth in Humana policies and procedures and as required by the respective Medicaid plans, inclusive of the following:
Subcontractor compliance and oversightSubcontractor relationship managementSubcontractor optimization
Effectively manage contract-related matters, inclusive of the following:
Coordinate with all key constituents, including those within finance, market operations, corporate Medicaid, clinical, quality, and compliance, to negotiate best terms and assess the impact of provisionsOversee contract monitoring, renewals, and content of contracts with assigned Subcontractors for the Medicaid program
Partner with fellow relationship managers to drive cross-market coordination, identify and translate relationship management best practices, and influence related Humana policy and procedure
Contribute to Medicaid business development initiatives by providing details of contracted relationships, functional responsibilities, and other relevant content to support Medicaid growth
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
5 years demonstrated proficiency in the engagement and management of subcontractors, inclusive of performance oversight, compliance coordination and contract management
Demonstrated strength in leadership: including extensive history managing and influencing outcomes in a matrixed environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (including reporting and presentations) with demonstrated ability to use language that is succinct and clear
Demonstrated natural curiosity to understand root causes and the bigger picture
Track record for identifying and driving process improvements
A strong critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills; detailed and well organized
Accepts responsibility, is self-motivated and accountable for aligned business goals and objectives
Travel up to 10% (depending on business needs)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, or Health Administration
Past experience working in or supporting Medicaid operations
Medicaid or Medicare policy knowledge or knowledge of Federally regulated healthcare programs
Adept at forming strong relationships with diverse teams and personalities through effective trust building and collaboration.
Strength in persuading multiple parties to align around one vision
