SUMMARY OF ROLE:

The AIB Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) has established a team that acts as the statutory DPO function for the AIB Group, including AIB plc, AIB Mortgage Bank, EBS dac, Haven Mortgages and Goodbody Stockbrokers. This role is an assistant manager role in a rapidly growing team.

 

The assistant managers within the Data Protection office are responsible for supporting the DPO in the execution of her tasks, and for providing best in class advice and support to the AIB Group.

 

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN:

*Provide relevant, consistent and timely risk appropriate advice and support to the business. *Attend key milestones of business and regulatory projects and provide compliance advice. *Review new products, propositions and product reviews. *Review Third Party Management risk assessment templates. *Represent the DPO at governance forums. *Deliver training to business on data protection regulatory requirements. *Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of AIB processes and organisational structure. *Support and embed a strong risk culture at all times throughout the organisation.

YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US THAT YOU CAN/HAVE:

 

*Expertise in data protection regulations, directives, standards and guidelines. *Understanding and experience of the Banking (preferred) or Financial Services sector and banking products. *Experience of Compliance and Risk Management in the Banking (preferred) or Financial Services sector and associated risks, clear understanding and knowledge of risk management methodologies. *Experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders and regulators including the Data Protection Commission. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
