The Position
Our bank client is seeking to fill a Bank Controller role located in the Brookfield, WI market. The successful candidate will be supervising workflow in the accounting department and manage accounting, reporting, budgeting, and asset/liability management.
This position offers a generous base salary of up to $95K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position).
Bank Controller responsibilities include:
Delivering effective financial support and analysis to the management team, both personally and through the accounting staff.
Ensuring the accuracy of all transactions affecting the general ledger, financial reports, and subsidiary accounts in accordance with GAAP/USA, State, and Federal regulations.
Assisting the Chief Financial Officer with the development of the annual budget.
Providing supportive financial analysis in development through coordination with senior management.
Monitoring ongoing progress of the annual budget.
Supervising month-end financial reporting, including Board reports and asset-liability management reports.
Coordinating annual audits.
Monitoring and maintaining the daily liquidity position of the organization as well as an efficient cash management program.
Researching and interpreting data, making recommendations, and monitoring assignments to effectively support management decision-making.
Supervising the completion of mandatory regulatory reports.
Developing and maintaining all accounting policies, procedures, and practices.
Performing other duties as assigned and being available to work additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
Accounting degree, CPA preferred.
Banking experience is a must.
Need strong ABL and Budgeting experience.
Must have filed 10K and 10Q reports.
Public company filing knowledge.
SOX and internal controls experience to assist us in upgrading documentation.
CECL knowledge is required.
Prior experience in budgeting interest income, interest expense, and operational expenses.
Prior experience with asset/liability management and reporting to the ALCO.
Able to grow departments and processes commensurate with the upcoming growth of the bank.
