Description
You have an opportunity to join Humana's Digital Health & Analytics (DH&A) organization to build a world-class Data Science and Insights enterprise capability, leveraging digital-first platforms, advanced analytics, and agile development methodologies. The AI Implementer identifies and translates business use cases, applying business domain knowledge to ensure developed solutions fully meet business needs and are successfully adopted and integrated into core business processes and systems.
This role works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. The AI Implementer monitors performance and recommends scope and schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions. Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to key stakeholders. May be responsible for feasibility studies, field trials management, identifying product gaps, defining business needs and understanding market and customer trends.

Key Responsibilities
AI Implementers must be able to do the following:
Understand, clearly define, and translate business needs into data and analytics solutions
Leverage capabilities of DH&A data and platforms and their roadmaps
Identify and help prioritize high-value use cases for Machine Learning and do what it takes to make them successful
Communicate detailed business goals and surrounding context to Data Scientists in order to create effective analytic solutions
Effectively identify and communicate the value of AI and ML in the business context
Manage stakeholder expectations from development to deployment
Monitor and ensure continued adoption and expected business value
Apply an entrepreneurial mind set: demonstrate bias for action, commitment and business-savvy to navigate any technical, political or organizational roadblocks that may emerge
Provide input to solution architects to formulate and refine solutions that squarely meet customer needs
Work with DH&A and IT prioritization processes to secure resources
Establish and report on epics, objectives, and key results
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science) and ≥ 5 years of relevant experience OR equivalent and 2 years of project leadership experience or management / population health with minor or experience in data and analytics
Ability to build trusting and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and diverse, cross-functional teams
Experience with cloud-based technologies, tool sets, platforms, data, analytics, and Machine Learning
Strong analytical thinker with the ability to deliver high-quality work in a structured, disciplined and time-conscious manner
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate in both strategic and tactical environments, accommodating for global-level needs
Hands-on experience with Python and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or technical Master's degree (e.g., Information Management, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science)
Direct experience integrating data science solutions in large, matrixed companies
Healthcare experience and domain knowledge
Working knowledge of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence development processes
Experience analyzing, designing and implementing large-scale business and performance management solutions
Strong intuitive understanding of Humana's data and how it can be used to solve customer problems and/or deep familiarity with health insurance and health data
Additional Information:
This position is based in Boston and will require occasional travel (approximately 10%) to Humana headquarters in Louisville, KY and other Humana locations.
