Job Details:
Description: The Innovation Finance team works to ensure that Tyson Foods grows sustainably and meaningfully through the development of new products. In this role, you will apply financial acumen, analytical rigor, and strategic thinking to drive our business forward. You will be required to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills as your work with a diverse group of stakeholders from across the organization, and you should be passionate about enabling them to succeed by providing sound financial analysis of innovation opportunities. You will also be responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, and reporting of performance metrics that will be used by leadership to make strategic decisions. You should be undaunted by large datasets and prepared to solve problems with modern technology. This is a perfect position for someone who is excited to make their mark on a successful and growing team. Your academic background and/or professional experience should demonstrate that you take initiative to improve processes and demonstrate a sense of ownership in your work.
Education: Senior or MBA with at least one semester of school remaining (Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field).
Qualifications:
Must have a basic understanding of financial statements and willingness to work cross-functionally to educate and influence stakeholders in financial best-practices:
Ex: Analysis of Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, and be able to help communicate findings to management and/or cross-functional teams
Demonstrate the ability to grasp various financial concepts in an efficient and quick manner Demonstrate the willingness to learn various Data Visualization tools:
Tableau Prep & Power BI
Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Access is a plus Understand business process automation (based on initiative, this position offers the potential for exposure to an array of accounting systems and visualization tools; exposure will help define how Tyson’s systems work together efficiently to produce accurate financial data)
