Pure’s Business Unit FP&A play a critical role in analyzing and tracking investments in our R&D teams across our entire product portfolio.  Our team works closely with leaders in our product and engineering teams to help track operating costs, prioritize investments, and evaluate returns on investments.  The Business Unit FP&A team works hard on helping our Business Units maintain our technological leadership but also knows how to have fun!  Pure is an exciting place to work as we work on transforming how the world manages and uses information.  Come join us on our journey and be part of the Pure revolution! 
The Business Unit FP&A Senior Analyst will be a key member of the team.  This will be a highly visible role focusing on driving short, and medium term planning and forecasting.  The role will also involve driving process and system improvements to better automate reporting and forecasting. In addition to partnering with our internal clients within the Business Units, there will be opportunities to work with our other finance teams (accounting, treasury, tax, and other FP&A teams).  This role will provide a strong spring board to move into other finance roles given the need to help drive decisions based on economics, as well as financial needs. 
Job Responsibilities:
Partner with and support internal Clients within Business Units (GM’s, Engineering, R&D, Product Marketing, and Product Mangers)
Ensure correct reporting in appropriate cost centers, manage fund transfers, review and approve purchase orders to ensure accurate budget tracking  
Own reporting, forecasting, and management of operating expenses, capital, and headcount in partnership with Finance teams, Business Units and Talent Acquisition.
Deliver regular (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) reporting and insights into performance to date against budget along with variances.
Bridge and variance analysis (QoQ, YoY, Budget-to-Actual) in spending.  Using analysis to help Business Units understand drivers and causes of change
Assist with updating and tracking TAM and Share analysis in support of Corporate Strategy and Business Unit planning
Identify and implement opportunities to improve internal processes and systems/tools to automate and optimize planning and reporting
What You Bring to the Team
Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and modeling with strong Excel skills
BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent; MBA a plus.
Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast pace and ambiguous environment, can simultaneously manage multiple priorities.
Ability to partner cross-functionally, through strong relationship building, influencing, negotiating and communication skills, with all levels of management.
3-5 Years of progressively complex roles in a financial function with financial planning and analysis experience/understanding, particularly in an FP&A role.
Former experience in Corporate FP&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting a plus
Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills.  Experience developing finance dashboards on Tableau a plus
Experience and knowledge in IT hardware and software markets and industry a plus
