Other Shift:
The Director of Finance
for Brightview Senior Living
develops, supports, and manages our relationships with lending institutions, enabling us to effectively grow in a smart and deliberate manner while also providing analytical support for Brightview’s overall business strategy, financial planning/analysis, and risk management. With over 40 senior living communities in our portfolio and a solid development plan that has grown, and will continue to grow that portfolio by 3-5 new communities every year, this role is critical to giving us the opportunity to provide seniors and their families with beautiful and vibrant communities to call home.
This requires a Director who is confident and successful in advising senior management on decisions about project-level financing structure, key underwriting assumptions related to debt and equity, and the selection of lenders and equity partners for those projects. This includes structuring the terms of project financing, providing underwriting analysis, and managing the closing process for these transactions with a focus on returns, risk management, guarantees and financial covenants.
The Director of Finance will work with senior management to assure that sufficient working capital, debt and banking relationships exist to meet our current and future needs, and will also analyze general economic, business and financial conditions that will have the biggest impact on our operation and business plan.
Another important aspect of this role revolves around risk management. This includes assessing the risk profile of the projects undertaken by providing high quality financial analysis services, in addition to implementing an interest rate risk management strategy, monitoring existing loans to assure that we comply with all covenants, and ensuring that we are proactive about managing our debt in order to minimize our exposure to interest rates and maximize the economic benefits to the company and to our investors.
You will be involved in multiple facets of the financial operation – and will have the opportunity to truly make your mark in a company that has consistently been awarded one of Baltimore’s Best Places to Work
and was recently awarded FORTUNE® Magazine’s # 1 Workplace for Aging Services in the US
