The Opportunity:
JMAC Lending has been quickly expanding and is seeking a talented Loan Processor within our new Consumer Direct Division. The individual in this role be responsible for conventional, government and jumbo products, communicating with clients and helping them through the mortgage loan process, reviewing and analyzing documents to confirm underwriting guidelines, and ensuring transactions close in a timely manner. This position is a ground floor opportunity within our Consumer Direct platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and employment.
Works closely with the head of Consumer Direct to ensure Loan Officer applications/files are complete and detailed.
Reconciles credit information provided by borrower with credit reports.
Calls borrower to discuss or confirm accuracy of credit report information.
Calls or writes employer to verify accuracy of information provided by borrower.
Review and correct application data relating to credit, debts, income and assets based on verified documentation.
Informs supervisor of discrepancies in title.
Submits mortgage loan application file for underwriting approval.
Requests and gathers conditions requiring review prior to closing, and submits for underwriting approval.
Assists borrower in clearing title exception issues.
Professional Experience, Education, and Qualifications:
Knowledgeable in guidelines for Fannie/Freddie, FHA and Jumbo loans.
Proficient in FHA Connections, Lending QB, MS Word, MS Excel. Strong customer service experience.
Demonstrates accuracy; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; self-driven.
Retail Mortgage, Call Center environment experience goes to the front of the line.
