Based in Longford and reporting directly to the Group Head of Finance, this is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your Financial Accountant career. As the successful candidate, you will join an industry-leading and award-winning company that is experiencing positive growth and sustainable expansion. You will provide financial leadership and direction to the finance functions across our facilities, taking on the responsibility of reporting financial accounts, management accounts, and other essential information. You will closely collaborate with the sales, operations, and teams. Your role will encompass financial reporting and the management of financial information.
Key responsibilities include.
You will participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team, including insurance and capital investment appraisals.
You will continuously develop and prepare all budgets and forecasts, including the production and presentation of packs to the Group Managing Directors.
It will be your responsibility to ensure appropriate financial and management controls are in place, effectively communicated, and executed.
You will oversee the adequacy, effectiveness, and security of information systems and technology, ensuring they are up to date and operational.
You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, annual financial statements, and annual budgets.
You will prepare cash flow projections, forecasts, and capital expenditure reports.
VAT and CT filings and liaising with tax advisors will fall under your purview.
You will assist in insurance renewal and costing.
You will actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of group-wide controls and processes.
As required, you will assist in adhoc reports and project work.
Candidate Profile
This Financial Accountant job is suitable for a financial professional who looking to progress within a dynamic and growing organisation. To excel in this role, you should possess the following competencies:
You are a fully qualified accountant with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally across disciplines such as ACCA, Chartered, or CIMA.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as your ability to manage, lead, and motivate people at all levels of the organisation.
Experience working in an ERP environment would be advantageous.
You are self-motivated, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Your planning and organising skills are exceptional, enabling you to multi-task, plan, and prioritise work within agreed timescales.
You thrive under pressure in a demanding environment, displaying resilience and adaptability.
Your analytical skills and problem-solving abilities are excellent, with a keen eye for accuracy.
You possess a strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
You excel in teamwork and collaboration, effectively building partnerships with colleagues.
