The Accounting Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the financial controls, practices and procedures that are consistent with Division and Corporate policy which provide management with timely information. Major tasks include: • Develops systems to track and report site financial and customer service performance. • Manages all accounting and data processing activities. • Oversees finished goods inventory to ensure accuracy. • Reviews financial data for accuracy, and ensures expenses and salaries are in line with budget and/or provides explanation variances. • Maintains detailed and accurate site financial records. • Develops, mentors and coaches subordinates. • Ensures performance appraisals and training requirements are completed in a timely manner for all subordinates. • Participates in Management Review, Corrective Action and Safety Meetings. • Prepares the annual capital operating budgets. • Prepare account reconciliations to support and justify account balances. • Prepare the flash forecast for the purpose of Division planning, as required. • Prepare monthly General Ledger entries and manage physical inventory to maintain an accurate and timely accounting of Division financial information. • Annual routing reviews; QAD standard hour recommendations for adjustments. • Daily review of standard hours and efficiency by work center. • Monthly routing reviews for variance explanation. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment visa status. • Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. • Must have at least 3 years of accounting/finance experience. Preferred Qualifications: • Must have experience creating spreadsheets and graphs. • Must have experience using Microsoft Office products including Excel. • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. • Previous experience in a financial role in a manufacturing environment is preferred • MBA, CPA or other certification • At least 5 years of accounting or finance experience • Previous supervisory/managerial experience Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
