Talascend is currently seeking a Purchasing Analyst for a contract opportunity in Mossville, IL.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability and other relevant factors
Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts
Monitor catalog transactions to ensure that goods and services are purchased in accordance with source plan strategies
Develop and report out electronic catalog metrics and data
Responsible for segmenting goods and services electronic catalog transaction data and utilizing this data to increase catalog adoption rates
Responsible to support catalog strategy initiatives and provide program support as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Looking for a data analyst, candidates who can crunch numbers and have excellent reporting experience
Reporting skills need to go beyond Excel and into SQL and Access
Candidates should have a background in finance, IT, or related fields
Previous finance-related, project management, or data analyst experience required
PMP, Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals and other technical data
Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information
Ability to predict consumer buying patterns
Knowledge of supply chain management
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Project or equivalent, Microsoft Access and Excel, and SQL
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in a Financial discipline - preferred
