Aon is looking for a Sr. Project Analyst/Sr. Financial Analyst As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk in Your impact as a Sr. Project Analyst/Sr. Financial Analyst This is a senior level accounting operations position and is a liaison to management and other service units. This position will be required to review/monitor the Cash with Application and Unallocated Cash Reports to resolve open discrepancies. This review will require they work with the Underwriting Management, Accounting Management, Operations Management, and Insured or Agents. This will require an expert level of understanding of the AuMine, AS400, Sequence, and JD Edwards systems. The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for planning and monitoring accounting operations aspects of multiple operational projects. Analyst is viewed as a complex problem solver. Essential Job FunctionsWork closely with BU staff and accounting operations cash and collections team.Understand process flows and implications for trouble shooting and researchCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-levelIdentify trends and work with leadership to develop action plansUtilize analytical tools to identify opportunities for cost savings / efficiency improvementMonitor and manage cash reports to ensure cash is applied timely and accurately.Work in conjunction with Financial Services, Underwriting and Operations to resolve and clear aging receivables.Ad hoc analysis utilizing in house systems and databasesOther responsibilities and enterprise duties as assignedWork in conjunction with Financial Services, Underwriting and Operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of Large Broker feeds and monthly reportingMonitor all aspects of customer service objectives and maintain the highest levels of quality and customer satisfactionLook for ways to improve workflows, customer service efficiencies, and communication between business units, and employeesDiscuss and review all problems and possible solutions regarding workloads/workflows with managementServe as a technical resource for Operations and Accounting ManagementRequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience requestedExperience in the insurance industry or a related field (7-10 years preferred).Knowledge of AS400, JD Edwards, and Sequence.Strong planning, analytical and organizational skillsBroad knowledge of business processes and process mappingUnderstanding of the technical implications of changes requested by business users so as not to cause major re-designs or significant cost implicationsIn-depth working knowledge of systems development life cycle and systems development methodologiesAdvanced Excel, PowerPoint and database analyticsIndividual will have a thorough understanding of Excel pivot tables, V-lookups, graphs, functions, links as well as working with external dataThe position requires a self-starter and independent individual who able to work in a deadline driven environmentStrong communication skills with all levels of management and is comfortable presenting to business leaders and colleaguesWe offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
