Job Overview
Your new company
Your new company is a global manufacturing service company based in Waterford and is currently seeking to hire an experienced financial accountant to join its general accounting team! You will be involved in performing site finance duties in line with group and local GAAP reporting and complying with SOX requirements.
Your new role
You will be, assisting in preparing month-end/year-end accounts, preparing detailed monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, and being responsible for fixed asset accounting and participating in the capital approval process.
You will also be involved in monitoring daily operations reports and compliance with internal control procedures, assisting in the reporting of projections/budgets, and supporting interim and year-end audits.
Additionally, you will assist in ad-hoc and project requirements, supporting company safety and quality programs and initiatives, ensuring ongoing compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) in all practices, recording of events and processes, and complying with all leanings from all GMP training events. You may also be assigned additional responsibilities from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.
What you need
You are required to have a professional qualification at the level of CIMA/ACA/ACCA and 1-2 years of related industry experience is desirable. You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytic and critical thinking skills, and diligence, and must always be audit-ready. Excellent organisational, time management, and administration skills are required, as well as being an advanced Microsoft applications user.
