POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Strategic Finance Lead serves as the primary financial business partner to the Strategy Organization and owner of the LTFP process and output. As the Lead of this process, this role is responsible for partnering across the organization to quantify and maintain a holistic long-term financial plan that is aligned to the Company’s Strategic Plan and aids in Enterprise-Wide decision making. This role reports to the CFO Support Lead, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis and has two direct reports.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:


Act as financial business partner to Strategy Organization, including sitting on the Strategic Plan Core Team

Lead the development of total company Long-Term Financial Plan (LTFP) in coordination with key stakeholders, including but not limited to, Strategic Leads and teams, BI&A (Commercial and R&D), Finance counterparts across all business units, Commercial markets, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Controllers

Establish and maintain strong business partnership and cross functional relationships to support LTFP activities and maintain a strong link between LTFP and other financial processes (e.g. Budget/Projection, LTI, Target setting, R&Os, etc.)

Drive the process of developing and maintaining integrated P&Ls for future brands/opportunities

Develop financial scenarios/models using key financial metrics to assess opportunities for improving the long-term outlook

Lead LTFP Core Team, including key members of Finance leadership

Prepare financial materials and messaging for presentations to the Leadership Team and Board of Directors

Aid CFP&A organization in development of business unit budget targets annually

Drive process improvements and work with stakeholders to simplify approach, monitor company’s performance, business trends and assess risks and opportunities to achieve short and long-term goals

Provide insightful input on resource allocation and financial analysis with visibility on peer benchmarks to facilitate decision making

Provide financial support for enterprise-wide initiatives, e.g. Value Capture, Portfolio Prioritization, Brand Planning, Transformation initiatives, etc.

Manage special projects and ad-hoc analysis to ensure highly effective outcomes


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred

12 years of experience in Finance or Accounting positions with upward progression

Strong analytical, quantitative and financial modeling skills with the ability to prioritize workload

Strategic thinker who must be detail- oriented and have analytical problem- solving capabilities

Broad financial experience (corporate & operational) and business acumen

Strong business partnering skills. Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a matrix organization

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the proven ability to present to senior management

Ability to deal with complexity and uncertainty while driving teams towards actionable decisions


Financial systems experience including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Hyperion experience a plus
