ROLE TITLE: DATA ANALYST, TREASURY COLLATERAL MANAGEMENT UNIT
LOCATION: Dublin (Hybrid Working)
This role is being offered on a PERMANENT basis.
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
AIB Treasury manages all AIB Group wholesale funding & liquidity activity. Treasury Term Funding is responsible for the issue and subsequent management of all medium to long term debt securities. Reporting to the Head of Term Funding, the ‘Treasury Collateral Management Unit' (TCMU) manages & monitors pools of collateral and performs a Cash Manager role.
The team primarily manages the AIB Group's Covered Bond and securitisation programmes. The best known example is AIB Mortgage Bank's covered bond programme. The team also manages pools of non-mortgage assets for the Green Bond and Social Bond Frameworks and monitors collateral received in AIB's Securities Financing transactions.
The Treasury Collateral Management Unit is AIB's centre of excellence regarding the mobilisation of customer loans for funding and liquidity purposes, its remit includes operational, portfolio management, legislative and rating agency requirements regarding new and existing bond issues.
These are specialist activities and a strong level of support and practical training will be provided.
THE KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AS FOLLOWS
*Maintain and monitor assets in the residential mortgage portfolios, and assets in the Green and Social Bond portfolios; *Calculate, verify and arrange payment of bond interest and principal; *Monitor collateral received in AIB's Securities Financing transactions; *Preparation of monthly reports for internal management, rating agencies, investors and other external parties. Review and validation of reports and work from supporting areas; *Monitoring and review of mortgage pools and securitisation transactions to comply with legal and regulatory obligations; *Daily identification of the cash received from mortgage borrowers in the loan pools for periodic transfer to the external bank accounts; *Providing support to internal and external auditors; *Support periodic project work for use of new loan assets in funding structures. Information analysis for securitisation and covered bond pools and projects aimed at increasing the asset-backed funding available to the Group; *Work with support areas to quickly resolve queries and issues arising from the work; *Ensure standard procedures and compliance obligations are adhered to in relation to daily and monthly work; *Provide ongoing assistance to other team members and management; *Develop and maintain strong control frameworks to service the funding transactions with adherence to well-documented processes, procedures and working schedules.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE SOMETHING THAT YOU WANT TO BE PART OF?
YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US THAT YOU CAN/HAVE:
*3+ years' experience in banking, e.g. Treasury, Treasury Operations, Finance, Risk, Credit or Payments. Previous experience in a financial services organisation an advantage. *Good with numbers and an ability to work with large volumes of data. Experience with dealing with large cash transactions an advantage. *Be a self-starter who can either work independently or as part of a team. *Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure. *Have a lot of initiative and excellent attention to detail. *Good judgement and decision making - know when to escalate. *An aptitude to notice trends in data and examine root causes; Experience with dealing with large cash transactions an advantage. *Focus on accuracy / right first time in a strong control framework environment. *Appreciation of operational risk and the consequences of errors. *Confident and capable with an ability to adapt to change quickly to deliver results. *Experience with Excel, Data Warehouse, and Standard Query Language (SQL) an advantage.
