****Job Description This position will be in the Municipal Water business of VNA and is headquartered in Paramus, NJ (outside of New York City). There will be periodic travel to Veolia NA corporate headquarters in Boston, MA and periodic travel to be onsite with the Billing Team in Indianapolis, IN. Municipal Water’s Northeast Region revenue is over $300 million per year and comprised of 84 contracts across 9 states. In this context, the Northeast Municipal Water Contract Operations Regional CFO is in need of a Strategy & Finance Associate to (i) assist with the transformation of the new post-merger Veolia NA organization and (ii) be a support to decision making with the goal of improving both the financial efficacy of overall processes and implementation of financial systems.
Main Tasks
Strategy & Organization
Assist with the transformation of the new post-merger Veolia NA organization
Assist with the transition of the financial organization to a single financial system
A focus will be on streamlining and comprehensively improving the billing system processes
Participate in organizational change
Financial Planning & Operational Reporting
Prepare business presentations for Northeast Region Senior Leadership Team
Develop financial tool and process best practices within the new organization
Assist with training operations staff in the use of new financial tools
Work closely with the Regional CFO, VP’s of Operations, and Sr. Financial Analysts to develop process improvements
Project Management and ad-hoc analysis
The candidate will be in charge of specific assignments according to the needs of the time
Qualifications Graduated from a Business School or IEP with a specialization in Corporate Finance
Fluent in English
Personal abilities: organized, independent, proactive, reliable, and analytical
High-end PowerPoint / Google Slides and Excel / Google sheets skills
Driving license required
A knowledge of the utility and energy sectors is a plus
