What the day will look likeAs a Senior Associate within the Aon Investments Operations team, your role will be to perform operational tasks and provide operational support to the Portfolio Management team and to Aon Investments in general.Client and Fund TradingSupport the portfolio managers with responsibilities such as entering trades into the trading system, settling trades, and investigating trade breaks with the Recon teamMonitor the asset allocation, glidepath and hedgepath status of our clients according to their investment policy specifications;Perform rebalancing analysis according to client specifications;Perform day-to-day management of cash on hand for clients and Aon fund accounts;Prepare and submit required trades to investment managers and custodians;Verify trade execution with reports received from investment managers and custodians;Assisting in the coordination of activities specific to investment operations related to client events (implementation, mandates changes, termination);Other tasksAct as a liaison between consultants, clients and custodians;Participate in client implementation meetings; assist other teams with different tasks and projects;Ensure that written procedures are up to date;Verify work prepared by the associates;Plan and coordinate ad hoc work;Train and guide new employees;Provide feedback to the manager and suggest operational improvements to increase the team’s efficiency;Work independently and manage projects;Ability to lead team meetings;Assume management responsibilities in their absence;How this opportunity is differentSeize the opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic, collaborative and evolving team. Using a pioneering order management system, we strive towards creating further efficiencies and synergies to enhance our Trading Operations solutions.Skills and experience that will lead to success3 to 5 years of relevant experience in investment or fund operationsExperience with Bloomberg AIM or any previous experience with Order Management SystemPrior experience working with custodians, investment managers, investment consulting firms, actuaries, lawyers and other parties involved in the management of pension plans;Proven ability for operational excellence and customer service;Strong attention to detail and completion of high-quality deliverables;Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet timelines;Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English;Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word;Excellent problem-solving skills;Ability to work in a team.CFA designation or participation in the CFA program is an asset.Experience working in the trade operations area of an investment management firm.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Commerce or equivalent years of industry experience.How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
