Learn about our culture here.    Job Overview To advise and provide legal coverage to banking business of JPMorgan Chase Bank (China) Company Limited, including cash management, liquidity management services, trade financing services and lending services for multi-national corporations, local corporations, banks and non-banking financial institutions in China.  This position is based in Shanghai.  Responsibilities  • Providing legal analysis in relation to new business initiatives and products.• Developing, drafting, reviewing, negotiating and assisting with product and transaction related documentation.• Assisting the business with deal structuring and terms from legal and risk perspective.• Advising management and other functional partners on legal and regulatory issues generally.• Instructing and working with external counsel, reviewing and negotiating legal opinions and supervising the legal due diligence involving the business and transactions.• Develop and maintain client and service provider relationships, co-ordinate with other risk management areas of JPMorgan, including Credit and Compliance departments.• Coordinating and liaising with business and product and services specialists and within Legal.• Participating in global, regional and local projects and initiatives, and product and industry working group calls and meetings.• Assisting in the review and development of legal forms, policies, procedures and systems.• Provide legal training to enhance general legal awareness and minimize the legal risks associated with banking business.• Other works as needed to support the business and operation of JPMorgan.','!*!Candidate Qualifications   • Qualified lawyer with at least five years PQE; PRC qualification required with additional qualification preferred (English, New York or Singapore). • Relevant work experience gained at an international financial institution or at a top tier law firm (a combination of experience is preferred). • In-depth understanding of banking business (e.g., treasury services, trade financing, loan documentation and debt financing products); experience on e-commerce will be a plus. • Experience in transactional workflow with a strong record of transaction management and execution and ability to work under pressure, prioritize and respond to business needs/goals. • Solid risk management skills with an ability to identify/escalate issues timely and appropriately. • Willingness and ability to provide quality service and promote and enhance JPMorgan franchise. • Ability to communicate well and work in a cross-functional team to achieve common goals. • Ability to adapt and apply legal skills in new businesses/areas with limited existing expertise. • Strong drafting, negotiation and legal analytical skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • English and Chinese fluency required.     Attorneys must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing or otherwise eligible to practice law in the jurisdiction in which the position is based     Diversity StatementWe recognize that our people are our strength and the diverse talents they bring to our global workforce is directly linked to our success.
