In this role, you will work on a variety of initiatives to ensure our platforms, applications, and services are designed, built and released in accordance with next generation standards and frameworks. Core Responsibilities:Responsible for leading the development and delivery efforts for specific applications, platforms, and services within a delivery verticalEstimate design, development and implementation efforts and provide inputs for expertise and capacity against scope, budget, and timelineDirectly manage delivery teams and resources to execute and deliver against scope, cost, and timelineAccountable for the maintainability, supportability, extensibility, and performance aspects of delivered code baseAct as a point of escalation and resolution for all development and delivery issuesAct as a resource manager for all development and delivery team membersCapable of operating within Continuous Delivery, Agile, Iterative, Waterfall and XP methodsOversee all delivery team efforts and ensure all work is performed maintaining all quality standardsResolve development team issues and escalate any delays as neededDevelop necessary skills within teams to support ongoing development of resourcesAbility to effectively communicate and collaborate with development resources, delivery resources, product management and senior leaders in an approachable wayAbility to influence, mobilize workforce, and lead teams to drive execution in a demanding environmentTravel up to 10-20% for in-region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities Minimum qualifications:BA/BS degree in CompSci or related software engineering field, or equivalent practical experience5 years of experience in all aspects of development and delivery management5 years of experience managing delivery teams and projects5 years of experience working in Agile Scrum and Waterfall and/or Iterative method5 years of experience working with off/near shore delivery teams5 years of experience working across the technology stack (front, middle, back)3 years of experience working in Continuous Delivery pipeline3 years of experience with the cloud computing, API production and SaaS and PaaS integrations2 years of experience with legacy platform implementations2 years of experience with digital/enterprise transformations Preferred qualifications:Experience in the insurance technology marketDeep understanding of the current state of continuous integration/deployment, security, networking, and cloud-based delivery models. Expertise working closely with product and delivery organizations and related technical fields.
