Position Purpose
Real Estate delivers a competitive advantage to Shell through the application of leading-edge corporate real estate, corporate travel, and business operations practices. RE’s strategic intent is to enable the Shell Businesses to deliver on their goals by creating safe, secure, cost effective, and productive environments that allow people to perform at their best. RE delivers non-hydrocarbon physical infrastructure to Shell Businesses, projects, and ventures; manages the Group’s property portfolio and office facilities.
Real Estate Portfolio Manager
What is the role
This role will focus on the delivery of non-hydrocarbon construction, development, and refurbishment projects, as well as providing real estate consultancy services with the Real Estate CDP delivery function in Louisiana. This position requires an energetic and skilled integrative leader who can work across the portfolio, businesses, asset classes and project types.
As a leading member of the CDP team, this individual will be responsible for delivering commercial real estate deals and/or construction projects within a portfolio that covers multiple locations, business partners and asset types in furtherance of the RE portfolio plan. Portfolios and commercial deals ranging from USD multi-million investments to small scale but often complex acquisition, disposition, lease and build to suit requirements.
Accountabilities:
Manage a portfolio of commercial deals and projects across various commercial and manufacturing sites
Deliver projects though mandated RE opportunity realization standards governance structure process and ensuring Group mandates are achieved through effective management of projects
Commercial deals, including but not limited to: acquisition of large office leases; warehouse leases; site searches and acquisitions for new facilities; dispositions of real estate interests
Conduct complex negotiations individually or as part of the wider team, leveraging external partners to create efficiencies and deliver business outcomes that exceed expectations
Project delivery of non-hydrocarbon construction activities including but not limited to: office space build out; ground up construction of office buildings and warehouses; demolition projects
Promote the implementation of continuous business improvement, owning and managing the Group RE Plan accurately
Requirements
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Minimum 10 years of experience of related role
Minimum Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture
Experience in delivering commercial deals and/or construction projects in high performance teams
Real Estate commercial deal and project delivery experience at a strategic level is essential
Knowledge of Shell real estate interests in Americas would be an advantage, as would Shell Group Business experience across Americas
