Credit Accountant
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and collaborative individual to join our 10x team as a Credit Accountant.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong prior background in reviewing creditworthiness and risk profile of customers. A successful candidate will analyze customers' financial condition for credit worthiness utilizing multiple tools that include internal history, 3rd party data, credit reports and other customer attributes.
What you will be doing:
Assess credit limit requests and provide support for payment term recommendation to the credit manager and commercial team.
Analyze and assess the financial statements and credit history of existing and new customers.
Communicate with clients and business partners to verify their financial/credit transactions.
Evaluate clients' credit data and financial statements in order to determine the degree of risk involved in offering credit.
Make recommendations based on analysis and best practices to increase, adjust, extend, or close lines of credit.
Drive updates and improvements to credit evaluation criteria, process and policy.
Drive documentation on credit risk and related financial matters.
Perform periodic and ad hoc credit analysis and reviews for existing and new customers as per company policy.
Perform due diligence checks on customers when required.
Ensure adherence to 10x's credit policy and comply with the established processes.
Excellent facilitation and consulting skills are necessary to successfully perform this job.
Other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
BS / BA Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills required.
Diligent, meticulous, positive working attitude, with 2-4 years' experience in credit analysis.
Self-motivated and be able to work under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel).
Understanding of business, economic, and industry risk.
Excellent project management, writing, and oral communication skills are required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
