Tableau Engineer

Our client is seeking a Tableau Engineer
to join their team in Irving, TX.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on an important new platform, which will have huge impact on the reporting and monitoring technology for safety and soundness (technology risk) business and our future architecture in this area.
Within this role, you will act as the subject matter expert regarding development, working with an established peer development team who will assist in building version 1.0. You will become a primary owner as this platform migrates to its final landing team.
Responsibilities
Develop new and build improvements on existing reports and dashboards using Tableau
Build and maintain reporting, data, and metrics governance processes
Automate the manual reports into digital Tableau reports and dashboards
Collaborate with business and other stakeholders in enterprise and iteratively design layout of key dashboards and reporting
Build and publish customized, interactive Tableau reports and dashboards on tableau servers
Perform detailed data analysis of data structures, content, and quality, and provide data standardized format/structure for all new Tableau initiatives
Analyze, code, test, and implement Tableau solutions and controls
Build a close relationship with clients and stakeholders to understand the use case for the platform, and prioritize work accordingly
Evaluation of architecture and final solutions that will allow for future expansion and integration of machine learning and AI
Contribute to the teams strategy around development and deployment best practices
Qualifications
7 years of Tableau experience
Extensive experience in design, develop, and support Tableau reports and dashboards
Expert in integrating Tableau with other enterprise systems
Experience in building actionable and interactive dashboards and reports
Strong development/automation skills - This includes working with Tableau reps where new functionality or pilots may be necessary
Experience in Deployment, change control, and providing User Acceptance criteria necessary
Knowledge of agile(scrum) development methodology is a plus
Building solutions with machine learning, graph analytics and other advance analytics techniques would be helpful
Cognos experience is helpful
SharePoint experience is helpful
We are also working with Anaconda and Jupiter notebook and Mongo DB, Oracle DB so working knowledge of those would be helpful
Continuous Integration / Scrum experience is desired
Experience in consumer banking, financial services, or risk controls domains would be ideal
Tableau Desktop Certified Professional would be preferred
