Corporate Action Specialist

Profile

Interactive Brokers (IBKR) is expanding our client services team located in Chicago, IL with a Corporate Actions Specialist. The candidate will possess knowledge to successfully troubleshoot, research, and move customer queries related to dividends and corporate actions. The Corporate Actions Specialist works closely with our back-office Clearing and Corporate Action Departments and other stakeholders to ensure accurate information is provided to clients regarding their holdings. The candidate should possess general knowledge on dividends and/or corporate action processing. Previous customer service experience in a financial services environment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
· Reviewing and addressing client issues/inquiries via electronic message regarding dividends and corporate actions
· Responsible for troubleshooting escalated customer reported issues. Assists with root cause analysis and resolution as appropriate.
· Escalation of system, partner and customer issues clearly and timely.
· Facilitate resolution of customers’ issues by logging and verifying bugs/enhancements, updating customer on problem resolution status, working with development, and assisting in testing
fixes.
· Provide information to other support representatives to assist with problem resolutions.
· Lead or participate in other projects or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other related field. Or equivalent work experience
Experience: Minimum of 2 years financial services industry experience preferred
Language: Fluency of written English
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of PC technologies, to include Microsoft Word & Excel
