Aon Is Looking For A Tax Director, US Indirect Taxes Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee and manage US indirect tax compliance processes, including sales and use tax, personal property tax, and similar return filingsProvide expert advice to internal stakeholders regarding sales and use tax treatment of services rendered by Aon companies or purchased by Aon companiesDealing with day-to-day queries from various parts of the organization, as well as clients and vendors, on range of issues. First rate communication skills, both verbal and written, are requiredManage indirect tax audits. Strong negotiation skills requiredReview and enhance Aon's systems-related tax functionality. Execute on process improvementsReview and implement manual use tax processesDevelop an overall strategy in terms of improvements that could be made to the US indirect tax processesReview of Aon's indirect tax registration status across the USIdentify, develop, and implement indirect tax optimization strategies across the USInterface with all teams in the Tax Department, Finance and other key stakeholders within the organizationLine management responsibilities for US Indirect Tax Supervisor Competencies & Experience: Significant relevant indirect tax knowledge, including sales and use tax, personal property tax, gross receipts taxes, and similar taxesStrong working knowledge of indirect tax rules and requirements in different statesExperience with review of indirect tax compliance processes, both manual and automatedSignificant experience with indirect tax audit in different states.
