Staff Accountant Can you see yourself in a role where you are responsible for processes within Accounting that impact decision-making in rapidly changing environments? Are you the type of person who takes initiative to be a liaison between accounting, other functional groups, and outside vendors/customers? Do you demonstrate the ability to coordinate various accounting, controls, and systems/projects ? Would it motivate you when the direct work you and your team provides has a direct impact on company profitability?If so, DHL Supply Chain has the opportunity for you. Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to review and post all journal entries from various subledgers and other sources. This role also prepares and/or reviews daily, weekly and monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Additionally, this role has high interaction with a 3rd party offshoring partner. Finally, this role assists in the monthly close process.Reconciling • Prepare/ review balance sheet reconciliations related to payroll, cash retirement and other accounts• Resolve aged reconciling items on balance sheet reconciliations • Prepare reconciliations for individual bank accounts lines to Oracle cash lines for bank accounts• Resolve and submit escheatment payment to the appropriate stateData Processing • Post all area specific journal entries as prepared by 3rd party offshoring partner• Ensure desktop procedures (DTP's) are maintained by third party offshoring partner. Operational Support • Approve payrolls to be posted, ensuring accuracy to mapping files at a site and central level• Approve and ensure payroll, vacation and temp labor accruals are accurate and provide support to inquiring sites• Forecasting of centrally managed retirement charge processControl and Governance • Ensure accounting controls and policies are being applied appropriately at all levels• Meet published deadlines• Understand the business and the impact of general ledger processes on other people• Perform other duties as assigned; adapt to changing prioritiesRequired Education and Experience• Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, required• 1-3 years work related experience, required                                          Our Organization has a business casual environment and focuses on teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement.
