Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves
consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services,
including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages,
credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer&
Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business
to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in
consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and
regulatory, among others

 

 

The Portfolio Credit Strategy
team is responsible for the development and maintenance of credit card
strategies for existing accounts.  We
are actively seeking a Risk Associate
to have direct ownership and accountability for a defined group of portfolio
risk strategies with a focus on managing credit losses on portfolio
lending strategies.  This role will focus on portfolio
strategies such as balance transfer and new lending initiatives and will seek to
optimize segmentation, targeting, performance, and decision profitability.

 

 

Responsibilities
include:

Direct ownership of
components of the Balance Transfer strategiesResponsible for recognizing
opportunities and enhancements to existing strategies to improve
overall financial performance, customer experience and execution qualityAnalyze risk inputs and
conduct research and analysis of the performance and profitability of
existing strategies while working to ensure adherence to regulatory based
initiatives, procedural alignment with Risk Policy and maintaining a
strong control environmentPerform quantitative
analysis of customer credit card behaviors, revenue drivers, and expense
drivers to develop present value forecasts of various investment
alternativesAnalyze segment performance
for targeted treatments in addition to valuation both in loss benefit and
revenue impactsCreate thoughtful analytics
to address business issues and be able to independently generate
forward-looking solutionsCommunicate results,
findings and recommendations to senior leadersPartner with technical groups to develop requirements for
changes to rules engines and automated strategiesForecast impacts of strategy and segment mix changes. Lead
business partners through adjustmentsUtilize SAS, SQL, Teradata
and MS Office analysis tools to complete analysis requirementsWork with business partners and leaders to ensure any new developments
will be deliverable and executableDevelop
and maintain comprehensive controls to ensure processes are executing as
designed and perform root cause analysis on trends against these
strategies and processes.  Where issues
arise, must be able to recommend and implement appropriate resolutions.

Qualifications:

2-4 years of risk management
or financial services experienceStrong written and verbal
communication skills, including ability to present findings to Senior
ManagementExperience partnering across
different functionsData mining
skills, specifically: SAS, Excel, Microsoft Office, and database software
applications High degree of creativity
and possess disciplined analytic and strong problem solving skillsFlexible and
able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced changing environmentKnowledge of financial
procedures & principlesStrong
understanding of consumer lending Independent
decision making skillsBachelor’s or Advanced
degree in a relevant discipline like Statistics, Economics,  Finance or a related quantitative
discipline preferred Strong
problem solving and disciplined analysis skills
