Principal Responsibilities:
Through the lens of Jewish identity and values, the Levite Jewish Community Center provides a welcoming, family-oriented gathering place for a diverse membership to engage in a meaningful experience of the mind, body and soul.
This position will aid in keeping accounts and records for the main office positions in order. It will require tasks associated with account receivable, accounts payable entry and other financial responsibilities.
Essential Functions
1. Process vendor payables
2. Process weekly check runs and distribute/mail checks
3. Work with departments heads to ensure proper approval and documentation of all expenses
4. Data entry of credit card payments and cash disbursements into accounting software
5. Data entry of month end close entries
6. Data entry of budget information
7. Maintain organized vendor records
8. Assist with monthly account reconciliations
9. Assist with variance research
10. Assist with Accounts Receivables
11. Assist with budget preparations
12. Cross train with Human Resource Coordinator
13. Assist the Director of Finance with monthly close-out procedures
14. Assist with preparing and distribution of monthly reports
15. Process 990 and Audit information as requested by auditors
16. Any additional duties deemed necessary by Director of Finance and Executive Director

18. Must be able to sit, walk, stand and lift up to 25 pound.
19. CPR/AED Certification - We can train.
Job Scope
Recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm. Job involves a moderate degree of complexity. Operates from established and well-known procedures typically but may have to use a high degree of creativity in meeting the individual need of the member or guest. Operates independently with minimal supervision.
