Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated Remuneration Advisor to join our German HR Policy team based in Hamburg
The purpose of this role is to deliver the country Remuneration & Compensation processes, policies & benefits, ensuring alignment with Group policies and contributing to a competitive Employee Value Proposition. In this role you will also provide solid and creative subject matter expertise with commercial acumen/numeracy, legal understanding and continuous improvement mindset.
Accountabilities:
Support the Compensation and Data Quality Team as Merit Focal Point for Germany and manage the annual merit round
Advise on the competitiveness of Remuneration & Benefits packages across the business, interface for local market surveys and benefits processes
Enhance the culture of delivery focus, operational excellence, continuous improvement, compliance and discipline of cost mgmt. (e.g. pay compression)
Provide expert advice by providing supervision, guidance & coaching to line managers and HR colleagues on difficult remuneration issues (e.g. special promotion/ salary increases, salary adjustments) and their exception requests if required
Manage pay review exercises, such as gender pay gap / Entgelttransparenzgesetz
Support Country Benefits reviews, CLAs and improvement projects including external benchmarking as appropriate
Provide policy support with focus on financial/tax/pay/share relevance (and beyond if needed)
Develop new and maintain/adjust existing policies for Germany supporting the business and people agenda aligned with global direction
Monitor and evaluate the impact of (potential) changes in German regulations or law and revise policies as needed based on new laws and requirements and business requests
Where applicable support appropriate and effective consultation with the central/local Staff Council in the area of compensation and benefits in collaboration with ER/IR
Anticipate/implement extended use of Workday as the IT enabler for world class and global HR processes with focus on remuneration processes
This is a fixed-term position for 2 years with and part time working schedule (50%).

Requirements:
Prior experience in either a Finance role, Policy Advisor role or HR Business Partnering role.
Prior experience in operating a remuneration or salary system (expatriate or local) would be an advantage.
Commercial acumen/numeracy, legal understanding and continuous improvement mindset.
Strong diagnostic, analytical and Evaluation skills.
Proven experience in managing and prioritising competing projects and demands.
Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
Bachelor/ Masters degree.
Languages required: German & English .
