Senior Financial Analyst - Real Estate
This position offers someone the opportunity to be a part of the entire acquisition and development process for multi family affordable housing. Responsibilities will include, financial modeling, market analysis, cash flow analysis review, and due diligence activities for new acquisitions. The candidate should have experience in preparing excel pro forms, an in depth understanding of financial modeling including cash on cash returns, IRR analysis, and discounted cash flow.
Ability to assess, underwrite and value single-family for rent and multi-family real estate investments.
Advanced Excel experience, strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Build, maintain and monitor financial models in Excel utilizing property development inputs, financial statements, budgets, leases, trends, expense information and market assumptions.
Support the underwriting, analysis and execution of real estate acquisitions.
Prepare and compile due diligence materials, budgets, financial models and schedules.
Identify strengths and weaknesses of proposed transactions.
Work with Team to produce project acquisition proposals and materials necessary for presentations.
Help coordinate the closing of transactions.
Maintain and update due diligence checklists for transactions.
Prepare budgets, financial models, market reports necessary for debt/equity proposals and investor reporting.
Carry out market research.
Analyze and provide solutions for all unforeseen issues arising during the loan placement process and handle the issues directly with lenders and borrowers.
Assist in the negotiation of debt and equity partners including attaining loan quotes, loan applications and loan commitments.
Ability to manage expectations and timeframes for the capital user and capital providers, while ensuring delivery of due diligence and checklist items needed for financing quotes, final loan approval and closing.
Ensure compliance with closing schedules and document submissions.
Manage any task necessary to ensure deals close.
Create, monitor, track and interpret project data including contracts, schedules, budgets, and cash flows on an on going basis.
Ability to present information in both oral and written form in a clear and concise manner.
