ROLE TITLE: Senior Risk Analyst - Risk and Control Assessment (‘RCA') and Operational Risk Events(‘ORE'), Operational Risk

 

LOCATION: Dublin 2

 

This role is being offered on a Full Time Permanent basis.

 

We are looking for an experienced Risk Analyst to join the RCA and ORE Team in Operational Risk. The RCA and ORE team plays a key role in the Bank by providing independent oversight and challenge to ensure all key risks and OR events are identified, assessed, documented, monitored and are recorded and reported in a timely manner across the organisation.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to join the RCA and ORE Team to help deliver on the planned priorities for 2021, with a keen focus on the integration of new parts of the Group into AIB's Operational Risk Framework Policies and Processes, ensuring alignment to our Risk purpose of Guide and Protect at all times.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN:

 

*Review and challenge Operational Risk Events requiring external reporting to relevant Competent Authorities by displaying a strong technical focus from beginning to end and ensuring accurate reporting through engagement with relevant business area *Manage the second line oversight of Operational Risk Events and Risk and Control Assessment (RCA's) to ensure all Operational Risk Events and Risks are identified, managed and reported in accordance with the banks Operational Risk Framework and supporting policies. *Oversee the resolution of agreed remediation actions with the business areas and stakeholders within agreed timelines. *Review and interpret MI to identify thematic trends and investigate exceptional items. *Co-ordinate and implement ad-hoc projects arising from both regulatory and other requests. *Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to ensure the Operational Risk system, Shield is maintained appropriately by providing solutions and manage the implementation of any required changes. *Provide training and support to the business in relation to the OR Policy and any new regulatory reporting requirements. *Collate required operational and MI reporting for line management and Risk. *Maintain ongoing communication with relevant areas to ensure effective support and engagement regarding project/change risk identification, assessment and remediation. *Research, integrate and communicate industry best practices regarding RCA and ORE. *Ensure RCA and ORE Team processes and/or policies are documented in approved standard operating procedures and are in line with applicable bank and external requirements and/or best practices. *Engagement with the wider Operational Risk Team and Risk function.

*Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services, preferably in a control function, risk function or internal audit and a 3rd level qualification or equivalent. *Strong communication and people engagement skills and ability to develop and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships *Knowledge of Operational Risk frameworks , Risk Appetite & experience of Risk and Control Assessment *Awareness and understanding of relevant regulatory Operational Risk requirements in Banking *Proven report writing capabilities and experience of analysing data
