MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school graduate or GED required

Experience:  2 years experience in the hospital registration process required.  Skilled in registration and billing pathways.  Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of insurance practices and requirements.  Knowledge of medical terminology.  Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of ICD-9, ICD10 and CPT coding methodology preferred

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to travel to a variety of locations as needed. Accurate keyboarding skills, multi-line phone, fax and copier skills required.  Excellent organizational skills required.  Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.  ICD-9, ICD-10 AND CPT coding required during the 1st 6 months of employment. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills, excellent organizational skills and multitasking required.
